PRESENTATION

One of the indicators of success inmanagementis the ability to solve problems creatively and generate change. In many areas ofmanagement, creativechangeor original solutions play an important role in gaining a competitive advantage.

And yet, the enormous impact of creative ideas is one of the components of managerial work that has traditionally defied quantitative assessment or the application of systematic approaches. Not only is it difficult to accurately evaluate an original idea, but the ability to generate such an idea is generally considered an inherent personality trait rather than something that can be acquired: it is believed that creative people are born, not made.

The vision of this course (supported by recent research) maintains that creative thinking is no different (in its cognitive processes) from managerial thinking at its best. The main difference lies indefining the problem differently, focusing the search on areas where there is a greater probability of finding a creative solution. Creativity is seen not as a personality trait but as a skill that can be acquired and improved with practice, becoming atool inthe director's repertoire to be used as needed.

OBJECTIVE

This course is designed to teach participants various methodologies for creative and systematic problem solving. The course offers participants the opportunity to learn how to solve problems, identify opportunities, and generate those "elusive" ideas that can benefit the company with a very small investment.

CONTENTS

The sessions will present systematic tools (called Creativity Patterns) and delve into the logic of structured thinking processes.
Practical exercises will be carried out during the sessions for immediate application of what has been learned in the classroom, and real cases where systematic creative thinking has been applied will be presented.
